GOOSEBUMPS Movie Poster Assembles Jack Black, a Living Dummy and More Creatures

I'm not going to lie to you — I'm honestly excited to see the Goosebumps movie. Goosebumps hit the peak of its popularity right when I was in fourth grade, which was not only perfect time for a young Bill to gobble up the new book that came out every month, but it was also the perfect time for me to think wearing shirts with the covers of Bad Hare Day and A Shocker on Shock Street on them. No, Goosebumps didn't set me up well when it came to middle school popularity, but I loved those books.

I'm very curious to see how the Goosebumps movie turns out. Going with the idea that RL Stine's creatures have come to life is an interesting take on the series and should set the film apart from the previous Goosebumps TV movies and shows.

The first poster for the Goosebumps movie debuted on Tuesday. If you know your Goosebumps, you're familiar with the creatures on the poster — Slappy from Night of the Living Dummy, a guy from Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns, the monster from The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena, the giant praying mantis from A Shocker on Shock Street and the gnomes from Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes.

Goosebumps opens on Oct. 16. The movie stars Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, Amy Ryan, Ryan Lee, Ken Marino and Jillian Bell. Expect a trailer soon.
