Eva Green and Sean Bean in the Mix for WONDER WOMAN Villains

The cast of the upcoming Wonder Woman movie is expanding. Heroic Hollywood reported on Friday that Warner Bros. is eyeing Eva Green and Sean Bean for the movie's two villain roles. According to the report, Green would play Circe, a sorceress in DC Comics, and Bean would play Ares, the mythical god of war.

Both Green and Bean are no strangers to fantasy movies, with Green starring in 300: Rise of an Empire and Bean appearing in Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.

As someone who isn't really familiar with the Wonder Woman comics, I'm not sure how big the news is that Warner Bros. envisions Circe and Ares as this movie's villains.

If the two actors were to board Wonder Woman, they would join Gal Gadot as the title character and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Patty Jenkins will direct the film, which is set to hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
