JJ Abrams and Bad Robot Tweet 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Behind-the-Scenes Pic Featuring R2-D2

Guys, guys, guys ... GUYS ... it's R2-D2. On Thurday, Bad Robot tweeted a picture of Star Wars: Episode VII director JJ Abrams with R2-D2, saying, "Hi from the workshop!"

I don't think it's much of a spoiler for Abrams to reveal that R2-D2 is going to have a part in Episode VII. While Star Wars has been the story of the Skywalker family, everyone's favorite astromech droid has been there the entire time. Based on the fact that R2 didn't have his memory wiped at the end of Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, it seems that he was the only character in the first two trilogies who knew the entire tale of the Skywalker story.

Now that we know that Episode VII is hitting theaters on Dec. 18, 2015, hopefully Bad Robot, Abrams and Lucasfilm will start spilling a few more details about the highly anticipated Star Wars movie.
