'Chronicle' Star Dane DeHaan Cast as Harry Osborn in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Director Marc Webb tweeted out this afternoon that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had found its Harry Osborn. Dane DeHaan will play the son of Norman Osborn and best friend of Peter Parker. The actor, who had a star turn in Chronicle, joins Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley and Jamie Foxx in the sequel to Sony's Spider-Man reboot.

This is a great bit of casting on Webb's part. I was really worried they were going to go with some Twilight-esque model/actor to play Harry Osborn, but DeHaan is dead on. In Chronicle, the actor proved he could transform into a well-intentioned but somewhat evil character after getting a taste of power. Harry Osborn following in the Green Goblin's footsteps maybe?
