Who's the One Who Knocks Now? Bryan Cranston May Join 'Godzilla' Reboot with Elizabeth Olsen

The much-maligned 1998 remake of Godzilla had Matthew Broderick. The upcoming reboot? It looks like Heisenberg himself might be the one fighting the iconic Japanese monster. According to Variety, Warner Bros. is in talks to add Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston to play an unspecified role. The reboot, directed by Gareth Edwards, is supposed to give us a much more real-world take on Godzilla, something that I think Cranston would be perfect for.

The Variety reports also notes that Elizabeth Olsen, the younger sister of Full House's Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (and the one with real acting talent), is also in talks to join Godzilla. Just like with Cranston, casting Olsen immediately brings this film to a higher level. If you haven't seen her work in Martha Marcy Mary Marlene or Liberal Arts, check those films out. It's about time she gets a blockbuster role and becomes a star.

Godzilla is expected to hit theaters on May 16, 2014, and is currently being rewritten by Frank Darabont.
