New 'Monsters University' Commercial Promises to Party Hard

When I caught Admission this past weekend, there was a new Monsters University promo before the movie. It was classic Pixar. Gorgeous animation. Original characters. Very touching. When I walked out of the theater, I was greeted by a cardboard standup for The Croods. One of the ugly characters was picking its nose. If you ever needed a good way to compare Pixar and DreamWorks Animation, that dichotomy should handle the situation.

With Monsters University just a few months away, Disney/Pixar is stepping up promotion for the movie, releasing another commercial. This commercial is light on the actual story but heavy on reflecting the college atmosphere Mike and Sully are about to join. When a Pixar movie uses Andrew W.K.'s Party Hard, you know they mean business. Check out the new commercial after the jump.
