TRAILER: Liam Neeson Must Stop a Texting Hijacker in 'Non-Stop' (AKA 'Taken on a Plane')
So we're doing plane hijacking movies again? I thought that after the events of Sept. 11, 2001, movies were pretty much staying away that genre. I mean, I guess we could start doing them again if they're done in a cautious and sensitive way. Or we could just cast Liam Neeson as a federal marshall who gets accused of hijacking a plane by a texting murderer. You know, one or the other.
In what will surely be referred to as Taken on a Plane by everyone with the ability to string four words together, Non-Stop is the next movie in Neeson's "I'm a Badass" series. Neeson plays a federal marshal on a flight from New York to London who begins receiving texts from someone on the plane who threatens to kill a passenger every 20 minutes until $150 million is transferred to a bank account. When it turns out that bank account is in Neeson's character's name, the federal marshal becomes the one accused of hijacking the plane.
Non-Stop stars Neeson, Julianne Moore, Michelle Dockery, Scoot McNairy, Corey Stoll and Anson Mount. It hits theaters on Feb. 28, 2014.
