Ty Simpkins, the Kid From 'Iron Man 3,' Will Be the Lead in 'Jurassic World'; 'New Girl' Star Jake Johnson Could Be Too
It wouldn't be a Jurassic Park movie without a kid getting chased by dinosaurs, and Jurassic World won't be any different. Deadline reported on Monday that Iron Man 3 and Insidious star Ty Simpkins has landed one of the lead roles in the upcoming fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise.
In addition to Simpkins, Deadline hints that New Girl star Jake Johnson could also be in line for a Jurassic World role, an idea that makes a ton of sense when you consider that Johnson and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow previously worked together on Safety Not Guaranteed, the movie that rocketed Trevorrow to fame and the chance to direct a Jurassic Park movie.
If all these reports hold true, Simpkins and Johnson could join Bryce Dallas Howard, who TheWrap had reported was closing in on a Jurassic World role at the end of September.
Jurassic World is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
