TRAILER: Joaquin Phoenix Falls in Love With an Operating System Voiced by Scarlett Johansson in Spike Jonze's 'Her'

Spike Jonze hasn't released a movie since 2009's Where the Wild Things Are, but it looks like the wait for his next film was worth it. On Dec. 18, we'll get to see Her, a movie starring Joaquin Phoenix as a man dealing with a breakup who falls in love with his phone's operating system. Scarlett Johansson voices the personality of that operating system.

That premise may sound ridiculous, but check out the newly released trailer for Her. If you haven't caught anything from the film yet, this trailer should hook you. Not only are the movie, Jonze and Phoenix garnering Oscar buzz, but so is Johansson, which is impressive and possibly historic seeing as how she only voices a character in the movie. While the Golden Globes were buzzkills and declared Johansson ineligible for their awards, the Academy has said the actress' work in Her is eligible.
