'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Trailer Brings Us Back to Frank Miller's Gritty World
Maybe Sin City wasn't an Oscar-caliber film, but it was a ton of fun to watch. It was gritty and pulpy and had zero qualms about chewing the crap of its scenery. Between Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's direction, Sin City still remains one of the most unique movies of the past decade. Miller tried to rip off his own style with The Spirit, but couldn't even replicate Sin City's success.
Can Sin City: A Dame to Kill For accomplish that feat, though? After years of rumors and delays, the sequel will finally hit theaters on Aug. 22. Like the original film, A Dame to Kill For has a massive cast. Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Bruce Willis and Jaime King all return, with newcomers Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung, Josh Brolin and Dennis Haysbert joining them.
The first trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For debuted on Thursday, and it definitely appears to recapture the look and feel of the original.
