STEVE JOBS Movie Resurrected at Universal Studios
The Steve Jobs movie may have died at Sony last week, but it's found new life with Universal Studios. TheWrap reported on Monday that the studio had picked up Steve Jobs, which had been placed into turnaround by Sony a few days ago.
According to TheWrap, Aaron Sorkin will still write the screenplay for the Steve Jobs biopic and Danny Boyle will still direct. TheWrap reports that Michael Fassbender is attached to play Jobs, which I think would be the first confirmation of the X-Men: Days of Future Past actor playing the Apple founder. Fassbender's name had been rumored in the days after Christian Bale left the film, but it most recently sounded like he was just circling the project.
In addition to Fassbender, TheWrap reports that Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain are still potentially attached to Steve Jobs. Since the project was dropped by Sony, we've also heard Scarlett Johansson's name come up in casting rumors.
