STAR WARS REBELS Season 2 Has a Premiere Date

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 has a premiere date — but it's not going to be back for very long. The official Star Wars website announced on Thursday that the sophomore season of Star Wars Rebels will premiere on Disney XD on Saturday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET. The first episode will be an hour-long special titled "Star Wars Rebels: The Siege of Lothal."

After the season premiere, though, we're going to have to wait a few more months to get the rest of Season 2. While an official return date wasn't announced, the Star Wars website says that Rebels will "continue rolling out new episodes in the fall."

The trailer for Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels debuted at Star Wars Celebration earlier this month. The show's season promises not only the return of Ahsoka Tano but also Star Wars: The Clone Wars fan favorite Captain Rex. It looks like we'll even get the Ahsoka vs. Darth Vader confrontation we've been hoping for since The Clone Wars went off the air.
