Everything Is Awesome Again: 'The Lego Movie' Sequel to Hit Theaters on May 26, 2017
The Lego Movie has been No. 1 at the box office its first two weekends, grossing over $150 million in the process, and with little competition this weekend, will probably add a third straight No. 1 finish to that tally. We've known for a few weeks now that Warner Bros. was planning a sequel to The Lego Movie, and on Friday, the studio announced that the sequel will hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
It's still early in the game, so no word yet on which members of the cast and crew from The Lego Movie will return for the sequel. Chris Pratt is a pretty busy guy now, but it would be hard to envision a properly done sequel without Emmet back to lead the way.
