The Jerk Store May Have Plenty of Chevy Chase, but Jason Alexander Will Appear on 'Community'

While on Seinfeld, Jason Alexander was part of a show that NBC loved so much, they were ready to throw just about any amount of money at to keep on the air. The actor is soon going to learn what it feels like to be on a show that NBC hates so much, it'll do just about anything to destroy. Yes, Alexander will be appearing in an episode of Community's fourth season, according to a TVLine report.
“Filming a crazy episode of Community this week,” Alexander revealed via Twitter Tuesday. “Can’t say much about it, but it’s a fun one.”
Details surrounding the role are being kept under wraps, but it’s safe to assume the actor won’t be sharing screen time with Chevy Chase, who officially exited the cult hit late last month. Given that Community is shooting its last batch of episodes out of order, Chase will appear in the fourth season finale, but possibly not in the two leading up to it — one of which likely features Alexander.
While I appreciate that NBC is still going through the motions by bringing in guest stars for Community, could this season be any more of a mess? The show gets banished to Fridays, showrunner Dan Harmon gets fired, the show's return gets delayed until October then February, episodes are being shot out of order and finally Chevy Chase quits while production is still going on. We should pretty much lower our expectations now for what'll most likely be Community's final season, right?

And, by the way, when did Alexander get hair? I was totally thrown off while searching for a banner image.
