TRAILER: General Zod Threatens the Fate of Earth in 'Man of Steel'

Popculturology is on the verge of becoming a Man of Steel fansite, something I'm completely OK with. Warner Bros. released a new (and probably final) trailer for Man of Steel late Tuesday night, and — holy crap — it's awesome. There should be little doubt now that director Zack Snyder's Superman reboot is not going to be a redux of Superman Returns.

This trailer is probably the most action-heavy one we've gotten yet for Man of Steel. Michael Shannon's version of General Zod looks awesome, finally bringing a terrifying and deadly villain to a Superman film. The music in this trailer sounds different from what we've previously heard from Man of Steel — could it be composer Hans Zimmer's Zod theme? I can't wait for this movie.
