Andy Serkis Shows Conan O'Brien What a Conversation Between Gollum and Caesar Would Sound Like

Andy Serkis should have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in honor of his work as Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Sadly, that didn't happen. Not only did that not happen, but Rise of the Planet of the Apes lost the Oscar for Best Visual Effects to Hugo. Hugo. That's a travesty.

Thankfully, the Academy's multiple snubs haven't stopped Serkis from continuing to be the premiere motion-capture talent, bringing to life characters like Caesar, Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit's Gollum and King Kong himself.

To promote his return as Caesar in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Serkis joined Conan O'Brien on Wednesday night's episode Conan. After showing off his ape vocalization skills, Serkis entertained O'Brien with a conversation between Gollum and Caesar.

Serkis' performance is pretty cool, especially on the fly. I can't wait to see what he's going to do in Star Wars: Episode VII.
