Hey Girl, Ryan Gosling and Russell Growe Will Be 'The Nice Guys' for Director Shane Black
Ryan Gosling played a cop working in Los Angeles in Gangster Squad, and he'll return to that role in that city once again in director Shane Black's The Nice Guys. Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday that Gosling will pair up with Russell Crowe to play a "down-on-his-luck private eye" and his "hired leg-breaker" who "must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star." That investigation will lead to "a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power."
Black most recently directed Iron Man 3. I guess with no Iron Man 4 on the horizon, Black had to find a new project to helm. Working with Gosling and Crowe isn't a bad follow-up project to working with Robert Downey Jr. (As long as Crowe doesn't start tossing any phones ...)
The Nice Guys is set to open on June 17, 2016.
