First Batch of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Character Names Revealed

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we now have a few names to go along with the new faces in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. Director JJ Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy released a set of mock trading cards to EW, with five of the cards featuring character names.

R2-D2 and C-3PO, meet BB-8.

John Boyega's stormtrooper is currently going with just a single name: Finn. Does he have a last name? Will it be Calrissian? Windu? (There's only two black human families in the Star Wars universe, right?)

If our assumptions are right and this is Adam Driver's character, he's playing Kylo Ren. So much for that rumor that he's the son of Han and Leia and falls to the Dark Side.

Daisy Ridley's character, on the other hand, could still have a famous last name that Abrams and Kennedy just aren't ready to reveal yet. She's listed as Rey, debunking the long-running rumor that Ridley was playing a character named Kira.

Oscar Isaac's playing Poe Dameron, our new X-Wing pilot.

When asked by EW if there was a significance to the numbering on the cards, Abrams said yes. Hopefully we'll get a few more cards soon ...
