TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Sequel Casts THE WOLVERINE Star as Shredder

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel is getting a new Shredder. Variety reported on Tuesday that Brian Tee has joined the movie to play the iconic villain.

Tohoru Masamune portrayed Shredder in last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. No word on why producer Michael Bay and director David Green choose to replace Mosamune with Tee. I didn't see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so I can't really weigh in on whether switching actors could play into a plot development from that movie.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2016. In addition to Tee, the movie will star Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry and Alessandra Ambrosio.
