The Olsen Twins Bail on Netflix's FULL HOUSE Sequel Series

The temptation to start this article with "how rude" is strong, but I'll leave that to hackier websites out there. This would be a perfect time to use that line, though, since Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen won't be back for the Full House sequel series on Netflix.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Friday evening, reporting that the duo have chosen to skip Fuller House.

"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," Fuller House executive producer Robert L. Boyett said in a statement. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House."

The Olsen twins' potential involvement with Fuller House has been tenuous since the show was announced in April. The twins claimed that they only heard about Fuller House after Netflix announced it and were still waiting to talk to Bob Saget and John Stamos.

Fuller House will focus on the widowed DJ Tanner-Fuller moving in with her old best friend, Kimmy Kibbler, to raise her three young children along with Kimmy's kid. Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Dave Coulier and Stamos are all on board to reprise their Full House roles. Saget and Lori Loughlin are in still in talks for the show.

How will Fuller House deal with the Olsen twins bailing on the show? Will we learn that Michelle Tanner died in a horrible horseback riding accident? Will Netflix open its wallet to have Elizabeth Olsen, the talented Olsen sister seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Godzilla, take over her sisters' role?
