TRAILER: The Past and Future Collide in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'
If the actual X-Men: Days of Future Past movie is as good as the trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, all is forgiven. We'll forget Superman Returns and Jack the Giant Slayer. We'll even be able to move past the fact that you once abandoned the X-Men franchise and let Brett Ratner have his way with it. Shudder.
The first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past hit the Internet on Tuesday. It's low on action pieces (sorry, no Sentinels yet), but really heavy on character. In the movie, the X-Men we got to know in the original trilogy are faced with a dire future. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen's versions of Xavier and Magneto send Hugh Jackman's Wolverine back in time to find James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender's versions of Xavier and Magneto in hopes of stopping the events of the future.
X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Stewart, McKellen, Jackman, McAvoy, Fassbender, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Omar Sy and Lucas Till. It hits theaters on May 23, 2014.
