SNL: A thin Seth Rogen, Muppets and Abby Elliott

Sadly, Saturday Night Live is kind of hit or miss now. Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island crew bring some really great Digital Shorts to the show but a lot of the other skits can fall flat a lot the time. Seth Rogen hosted SNL last night – which was really weird since he's lost a lot of weight. It was like watching a skinny kid do a Seth Rogen impression. Weird.

Anyways, in what could be (but probably isn't) a preview of what we can expect from the upcoming Seth Rogen/Judd Apatow led Muppets movie, SNL put together a little Muppets skit last night.

A skit that can get nine adults in Muppets costumes talking like Muppets has to be a good one.

Beyond this, all things related to Digital Shorts and Kristen Wiig impressions aside, the other funniest on-going SNL feature has to be Abby Elliott's Angelina Jolie impression. They even threw in a lampoon of Madonna and her baby snatching ways with last night's edition of Elliott's Jolie.

It should be pretty obvious that they're not using Abby Elliott to her complete ability. She clearly has chemistry with Seth Meyers – anyone else think Seth could use a Weekend Update cohost?
