Abby makes the front page ... and the front page makes Newseum

Rochester's Abby Wambach had quite possibly the biggest goal of her career when she scored on Brazil during the final minutes of stoppage time. The U.S. won the game in a shootout and advanced to the next round of the Women's World Cup.

Of course, we had to play this up big on the front page of the Democrat and Chronicle. I don't like to pass up an opportunity to run a giant photo above the flag.

It was nice to see that Monday's front page made Newseum's top ten. Very cool honor, especially as my days at the Democrat and Chronicle wind down.
