'Star Wars: Episode VII' Cast Gets the Lego Treatment

It's been two months since Lucasfilm revealed (most of) the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. On Wednesday, Lego had some fun with the iconic black-and-white shot of the cast and crew, releasing its own version of that photo.

Yes, this is the cast and crew of Star Wars: Episode VII as lego minifigures.

Lego didn't just find minifigs that looked like JJ Abrams, Harrison Ford and the rest of the people in the photo. The company mixed together actual Star Wars minifigures already in existence (Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, etc.) with Lego versions of the rest of the cast. They even had some fun with actors like Andy Serkis, having his minifig hold the One Ring from Lord of the Rings. (Serkis' big motion-capture break was playing Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Ring was Gollum's precious.)

A few of the newest additions to the Star Wars family raved about the picture on Twitter.

Now we just have to wait for Lucasfilm to reveal who everyone is playing and for Lego to come out with new Episode VII sets.
