Natalie Portman Passes on STEVE JOBS

The Steve Jobs biopic hit another hurdle on Monday, with Natalie Portman reportedly passing on the lead female role. Variety broke the news that the actress had moved on from the project. According to reports around Thanksgiving, Portman was circling a large part in the Danny Boyle-directed film.

This is the latest in a string of setbacks for Steve Jobs. The movie has gone through numerous lead actors (Christian Bale twice, Leonardo DiCaprio), lost its original director (David Fincher) and was dumped by Sony. Now in the care of Universal Studios, Steve Jobs reportedly has Michael Fassbender attached to play Steve Jobs.

According to Variety, the film is still on track to begin shooting this spring.
