STEVE JOBS Trailer Wants All the Oscars

A new trailer for Steve Jobs debuted on Wednesday — and it wants all the Oscars. After years of production delays, cast changes and studio shifts, the Steve Jobs biopic is now just months away from release and it's looking great.

After flirting with Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio, Steve Jobs landed Michael Fassbender to play the title character. From the looks of his performance in the new trailer, Fassbender has nailed Jobs' intensity and passion while opting to follow the spirit of the Apple founder's looks instead of trying to be the mirror image.

Steve Jobs is directed by Danny Boyle from a script by Aaron Sorkin. The entire movie is based on Walter Isaacson's best-selling biography by the same name. In addition to Fassbender, Steve Jobs stars Seth Rogen as Steve WozniakKate Winslet as Joanna HoffmanJeff Daniels as John Sculley and Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan.

The movie opens on Oct. 9.
