FIRST LOOK: ZOOTOPIA Animates Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin

After bringing ice princesses, videogames and monotone robots to the big screen over the past few years, Walt Disney Animation Studios is returning to its roots: Anthropomorphic talking animals. When Zootopia hits theaters next March, we'll see a con artist fox voiced voiced by Jason Bateman and a cop rabbit voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin team up.

USA Today brought us a first look at Zootopia on Tuesday, releasing a new image of Bateman's Nick Wilde and Goodwin's Judy Hopps.

"[Zootopia is ultimately a story of two animals] who would naturally never hang out or like one another in the beginning, but over the course of the movie develop a relationship and become friends," co-director Rich Moore told USA Today.

Moore, who directed Wreck-It Ralph, has teamed with Tangled director Byron Howard to co-helm Zootopia.

The USA Today article mentions Disney's Robin Hood as inspiration for Zootopia's Nick Wilde, and after you get that idea in your head, it's hard to look at the character and not see the fox version of Robin Hood from the 1973 animated classic.

Zootopia opens on March 4, 2016.
