Here's What Bryan Cranston and Rebel Wilson's KUNG FU PANDA 3 Characters Look Like (Hint: They're Pandas)
While Pixar Studios is about to reclaim its former glory with Inside Out, DreamWorks Animation finds itself face down in a pool of animated fart jokes. The studios once cranked out generic animated movies that raked in money. Now DreamWorks Animation cranks out generic animated movies that no one sees.
Two bright spots on DreamWorks Animation's roster have always been the How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda franchises. When the studio found itself in financial trouble over the past year, it pushed Kung Fu Panda 3 back from December 2015 to March 2016 (and then moving it to January 2016).
USA Today revealed our first look at the third Kung Fu Panda movie on Wednesday, premiering images featuring Jack Black's Po with his father, Bryan Cranston's Li, and possible love interest, Rebel Wilson's Mei Mei.
"Po's a little freaked out, since he's never been around a female of his own species," Black told USA Today. "I don't think he has game in that realm yet."
In Kung Fu Panda 3, Po discovers that he's not the lone surviving panda, discovering a village full of pandas, including his long-lost dad.
Kung Fu Panda 3 opens on January 29, 2016. In addition to Black, Cranston and Wilson, the movie stars the voice talents of Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, David Cross and JK Simmons.
