Colin Farrell is still alive (and is also in 'Total Recall')

Sony unveiled the first full trailer for its Total Recall remake today. I'm going to put aside the fact that it's another remake, and instead focus on the back that Colin Farrell is in a movie again. And not just any movie — he's in what I'm guessing Sony is hoping is a big, money-making summer movie. There was a period (let's say 2001 to 2006) when Farrell was in everything. American Outlaws, Minority Report (another film based on a  Philip K. Dick story), Phone Booth, Daredevil, S.W.A.T., Alexander, Miami Vice — it was hard to miss the guy.

Maybe we're at the beginning of Farrell's revival. He did have a small but very funny role in last year's Horrible Bosses and a main role in the blink-and-you-missed-it Fright Night. I always thought he was a good actor. And he's hilarious on talk shows, where he diverts back to his Irish accent and all you can understand are the f-bombs that don't get bleeped.
