TRAILER: Kristen Bell Suits Up as 'The Lifeguard' and Dives Into the Story of a Quarter-Life Crisis

When Kristen Bell isn't busy resurrecting Veronica Mars, she finds time to star in quirky indie movies like The Lifeguard. While it competed at Sundance, this movie hasn't received much buzz, which I find surprising since quirky indie movies — Mud, The Way, Way Back — seem to always catch someone's attention, even if they don't make millions of dollars.

Anyways, The Lifeguard is about a woman on the cusp of turning 30 (and who won't hesitate to remind you that she's only 29) who suffers a quarter-life crisis, moves back home with her parents, takes a job as a lifeguard and starts kinda dating a 16-year-old. Classic tale, right?

The first trailer for The Lifeguard debuted on Monday. Head past the jump to check it out. The movie also stars Freaks and Geeks' Martin Starr. The Lifeguard doesn't have a release date yet.
