'Happy Endings' Report: ABC Moves the Show to Fridays, There's a Third Kerkovich Sister and Elisha Cuthbert Gets a 'Maxim' Cover

If you had any hope that ABC was still thinking about giving Happy Endings another season, you can let go of that hope now. The network has decided to air a final Tuesday episode of Happy Endings next week and then take the show off the air until March 29, according to a Deadline report. For those of you not doing the days-of-the-week math at home, March 29 is a Friday. Yup, we're witnessing a death-by-Friday move here. Happy Endings will burn off its remaining episodes in pairs from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, meaning that you're now going to have choose between pretending you have a social life or staying home and watching this fantastic sitcom die an unfair death.

Happy Endings isn't going to go away quietly, though, with news breaking yesterday that we're going to meet a third Kerkovich sister in the show's season (and likely series) finale (whenever that may air now). From Hollywood.com:

“We’ve talked a little bit about maybe meeting Alex and Jane’s older sister. We haven’t really made a decision or figured out who would do it,” Caspe shared. Since our initial chat with the creator, we have confirmed with the powers that be at Happy Endings that the show is indeed searching for the third Kerkovich sister.  

Of the new family member, Caspe revealed, “She out Janes Jane, and when she’s in town she turns Jane into Alex.” Yikes! So who has what it takes to be the oldest sister in this meat-loving Serbian family? We’re glad you asked!

Honestly, it sucks that Happy Endings has so much potential beyond the three seasons it'll be on TV, and hearing about plans like a third Kerkovich sister only makes the fact that we're going to lose the show that much suckier.
