Yes, That's Jim Halpert as a Navy SEAL in Michael Bay's 13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI Trailer

Who better than Michael Bay to direct a movie about one of the most divisive and politicized events in recent American history? The Transformers maestro takes on the 2011 attack on the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. Let's skip all the politics surrounding the attack, who knew what and Hillary Clinton and go straight to the main point: John Krasinski is playing a Navy SEAL.

The first trailer for 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi hit the Internet on Wednesday. Watch it, and then let me know if you see Krasinski shoot one of his trademark Jim Halpert glances at the camera.

I should point out that Bay isn't the only person to ever envision Krasinski as an action star. Before Chris Evans landed the role, Krasinski was one of the favorites to play Captain America.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi stars Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Max Martini, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, David Denman, Dominic Fumusa, Freddie Stroma and David Costabile. The movie opens on Jan. 15, 2016.
